Need for Power, Personality Traits, and Organizational Work-Related Behaviors among Employees

An individual’s desire to influence others is known as the need for power (nPower). In available literature, construct of has been conceptualized two distinct desires powers i.e., personalized and socialized. The nPower defines an individual one’s ends, whereas, socialized help other people. However, it unclear how needs relate employees’ personality traits work-related behaviors in workplace. Therefore, existing research was intended (i) confirm factor structure Need Power Scale HEXACO Personality Inventory on sample through confirmatory analysis, (ii) investigate association, scores personalized-socialized scale their (HEXACO), impression management (self-promotion, intimidation, ingratiation), counterproductive work behavior. Furthermore, study also explores gender difference among employees terms power. used organizational employee (N=225) collected from different cities Pakistan a purposive sampling strategy.
